Substrato de hongos, lino y cargaderas
En el 2020, año pandémico, fui invitada a realizar esta obra para el festival Mos Espa, con el tema de ese año, ¨El Miscelio es el mensaje¨. Un festival musical y artístico, evento ya inscrito en la vida cultural ginebrina.
Para este proyecto me inspiro en el Fairy Ring, nombre que se le da al crecimiento circular del micelio, donde los hongos aparecen mágicamente en la naturaleza formando un circulo.
Este Fairy Ring móvil, en un ejercicio totalmente absurdo, se puede transportar, aprovechando la mezcla del micelio y su substrato de ser moldeados.
En esta obra observo mi calidad de eterna nómada enfrentada a la realidad mundial del encierro y la quietud. La relación con mis obras que muchas veces son efímeras o sino me veo en la obligación de garantizar su transportabilidad.
Strangely in 2020, a pandemic year, I was invited to perform this work for the Mos Espa festival, with the theme of that year, ¨Mycelium is the message¨. A musical and artistic festival, an event already inscribed in the cultural life of Geneva.
For this project I am inspired by the Fairy Ring, a name given to the circular growth of the mycelium, where mushrooms magically appear in nature in a circle.
This mobile Fairy Ring in an absurd exercice, can be transported, taking advantage of the ability of the mycelium and its substrate to be molded.
In this work, I observe myself as the eternal nomad confronted to worldwide reality of confinement. The relationship I have with my work, pieces that are often ephemeral or else I see myself obliged to guarantee its transportability.
